ariana is a wonderful student! she is always smiling and brings lots of joy to our classroom. she participates in class and is always willing to share her ideas with others during class discussions. she is a caring student who displays outstanding acts of copperwood character by always offering to help others in class. we're very thankful to have ariana in class!

now that school is in full swing and we are getting into a routine, i finally have time to blog pictures of my little (maybe not so little anymore) beauties.

we had an awesome year last year at copperwood and have been fortunate enough to continue on there. copperwood is proud to announce that they are an 8 time excelling school! that means they are packed with smart kiddos...like mine lol

they were really getting tired of me taking their pictures ever day lol

and to show their teachers that we appreciate all they do, the girls packed s'more kits and attached notes:

all in all, it was a great week.

we are all happy to have a schedule to our lives again.

we have had our share of ups and downs: living with my brother, buying a new house, sealing, on going custody battles, break-in to our home, loosing my job, unsucessful ivf cycle, new callings, lots family vacations and trips to alburqerque, dates as a family and adults only, watching our lovely daughters grow......i have loved every day with this man!

(after getting home from the dr's office)

caprice: mom, do i have stress?

me: what honey?

caprice: do i have stress throat?

me: (cracking up inside) it's strep throat, and yes.

caprice: so i don't have to go to school tomorrow?

me: nope. you have to stay home and rest.

caprice: (smile)

(this morning while fixing hair)

ariana: did you know if you have strek throat you can't kiss jay?

me: why is that?

ariana: cause that would be sick. i mean, he would get sick.

me: (cracking up inside)

A Day To Remember

national s'more day!!!

s'mores are such tasty treats, it's no wonder there's a day to commemorate them (today, august 10). s'mores were first mentioned in the girl scout handbook in 1927 and have been a staple of outdoor enjoyment since then. -ldsliving.com

so of course, when i read this i double checked our ingredient stash and knew we were set.

ariana was on watch to tell me just when the mallows were ready.
